MR600 High Temperature Positive Drive Mechanical Seal has more or less the same design as MR900 but positive drive lug is add to provide positive drive that suitable for thermosetting or viscous media applications. It help to extend mechanical seal service life by absorbing excessive torque. Bellows can be made of  INCONEL® 718** or AM350.

MR900 High Temperature High Strength Mechanical Seal be used for high temperature application such as  refinery, petrochemical and chemical industries. Due to its narrow seal cross section design, it can replace most type of seal that using in most ANSI pumps. Secondary seal are made of graphite foil that can withstand high temperature up to +425 degree C. Bellows is made of INCONEL® 718** or AM350.

  1. Jim Fargo says:

I want to seal between a shaft and housing. I internal pressure is 2psig and will hold N2 and potentially corrosive gases. The shaft will be raised and lowered at times with a 1/2″ or 2″ stroke. The shaft outside diameter is currently 0.5″ and the housing od is 1″. This could be altered to match stock bellows seals.

    Thanks,

  2. DEAR SIR,
I HAVE THE REQUIREMENT OF METAL BELLOW SEAL FOR MY PUMP MODEL NO. KSB CPKEY 50-200 OUR IN DISTILLATION PLANT PUMP IS IN THE REQUIREMENT FOR CIRCULATION OF OUR BLACK OIL OR WASTE OIL THE PUMP USE FOR CIRCULATING THE OIL FROM VESSEL TO HEAT EXCHANGER IN THIS OUR VESSEL AND HEAT EXCHANGER IS .3 TORR VACUUM THAT MEANS VERY HIGH VACUUM . CURRENTLY I AM STILL USING THE METAL BELLOW SEAL OUR VESSEL TEMPERATURE GOES TO 350 DEGREE IN WHICH VACUUM DOES NOT LEAK FROM THE PUMP. KINDLY TELL QUOTE ME THE RATE OF YOUR SEAL F.O.R INDIA. AND ALSO TELL ME WHICH SEAL IS REQUIRED FOR THIS APPLICATION
    WAITING FOR YOUR PLY,
    THANKING YOU,’

    Dear Dheeeraj,

May I have drawing of your existing seals?
So we can evaluate and advise.

    Best regards,
    Peter

  4. petermetbel says:

    Dear Jim,

Sorry we don’t have 0.5″ seal size.

    Regards,
    Peter

  5. srinivasan says:

do you have a high temperature static seal?

  6. petermetbel says:

    Dear Srinivasan,

    Yes, we have.
Please let us have more info about application temperature, so we can suggest appropriate model.

    Best regards,
    Peter

  8. Sachin says:

    Dear Peter.

We are trying to design the mixer, disperser and homognisers, we had done elementary studies for the tip speed of the rotor for which we had designed our own gearbox which is giving us 8000 RPM please need your assitance to have the saft sealing, we are expecting around 40 deg cen rise in temperature. Please suggest us the suitble Dry mechanical seal if available with you.

  9. Mr Karan Gandhi says:

    Dear Sir,

I have an existing pump for pumping molten lead. however am facing the problem of leakage from space between shaft and housing. can u suggest a mechanical seal to help prevent this leakage. the temperature is around 600 C.

    thanking you

  10. Do you make a seal for a high speed turbo expander shaft 18,000 to 21,000 RPM
    The working fluid is R245FA
liquid will turn into a gas at 300
    pressure 250psi max
